A Weekend at Black Point
We Spent the Weekend at Black Point, on the Yorke Peninsula, with Leng and Chris, and Jess and Jake! The Beach Shack we rented was passable, although nothing to write home about, but the dogs had an absolute BLAST! They never stopped from the moment we got there, and played in the water, sand and […]

The Death of British Comedy TV?
Where has Britain’s Funny gone? After years of non-stop hilarious hits like Fawlty Towers, Yes Minister, Mr. Bean, The Vicar of Dibley, Ab-Fab, Men Behaving Badly … is British comedy dead? How long is it since we’ve seen anything original and truly funny out of the U.K.? Ali G and Little Britain were clever and […]

LG’s Amazing 100-Inch Laser TV

Dining : Little India, North Haven
Another experience to remember, but for all the wrong reasons. The food was OK, but not up to  the standards of many other Indian Restaurants around Adelaide. The service, however, really lets  them down. Entrees hit the table at the same time as main  courses.  Serves were definitely on the generous side (except for Rice, […]

The Cost of a Smooth Face
I’ve not been very adventurous when it came to shaving my face. I tried safety razors, but ended up looking like somebody trying to take the piss out Norman Gunston. An electric shaver was somewhat less painful and more dignified, and the Phillishave I received from my folks for my 21st served me very well […]

Is this a mosquito?
Fact or fiction (a la Dick Tracy, for you older ones). No. It’s an insect spy drone for urban areas, already in production, funded by the US Government. It can be remotely controlled and is equipped with a camera and a microphone. It can […]

Surveillance Systems
I’ve been playing with entry level video surveillance systems for a while now, and recently decided to splash out on a new piece of hardware.. It manages up to 32 cameras (16 Analog, 16 Digital), and 32TB of Hard Drive.. This thing is absolutely amazing 🙂 [pe2-image src=”http://lh3.ggpht.com/-8ubcOMOtMzw/UX-e5YZSUoI/AAAAAAAAaZg/cKnlRVOD7Vc/s144-c-o/1367221192440.jpg” href=”https://picasaweb.google.com/116730948297768793432/Blog#5872587147752657538″ caption=”” type=”image” alt=”1367221192440.jpg” ] [pe2-image src=”http://lh4.ggpht.com/-VmMg8VW04h0/UX-e7AiQ4vI/AAAAAAAAaZo/TAwGppqS5eA/s144-c-o/1367221226082.jpg” […]

Shirt Buttons
Men’s shirts have the buttons on the right, but women’s blouses have the buttons on the left. This is more than just a way to tell whether a shirt is for men or women. There is a historical reason for it. During the Victorian period, buttons were quite expensive, and were mostly worn by rich […]

Dining : Links Hotel
Thought we’d try an old favourite tonight, the Links Hotel on Tapleys Hill Road. They’ve recently made a bunch of changes, and specialise in Schnitzels. The menu looked not too bad at all. If they can figure out how to cook them without drying them out and burning the crap out of them they might […]

Walkies!
We had a fantastic walk on the beach today. The pups were really good, hardly pissed anyone off 🙂 They must have enjoyed themselves, as I had to bathe them both when we got back, they were disgusting! And they even behaved perfectly in the Bath!
