After Jacks's sudden departure (and against advice from everyone else) I tried to fill the huge hole in my heart and the house with a new pup - Jake. I did learn something from that. Jake is definitely a very different person from Jack, and it took me a long time to warm to him - and he still drives me crazy sometimes, but I'm glad he is with us, especially as he loves Jess and happily follows her lead on most things. Jake passed in 2022 at the age of 14.
